Are you currently working in corporate finance, marketing, branding, business development, product management, e-commerce, sustainable packaging, supply chain management, youth engagement, fashion, accounting or sales?

Are you looking to take some time out, a career break, sabbatical or travel and volunteer?

We might have the opportunity for you. Together with Social Enterprise Lanka, the British Council & the b-corps certified Good Market, we’re matching international skilled professionals with a passion for development; with grassroots aspiring or established social enterprises, NGOs and non-profits looking to transition to a more sustainable model.

It’s early days here for Social Enterprise sector but its growing, and together with our partners and the help from our volunteers, we’re putting it on the map.

Our current cohort of ‘social enterprise’ clients include:

Kantala – a women’s empowerment artisans retailer looking to grow their online presence and e-commerce showcasing a 300 year old rural handicrafts technique

House of Lonali – a sustainable fashion brand who use offcuts from otherwise wasted Nike factory materials

Colombo Design Market – a community hub for up and coming artists, designers and manufacturers who want to reach a stylish audience

Greenfield Organic – one of the longest running social enterprises in Sri Lanka who produce specialist organic, fair-trade and artisan food & tea products and distribute around the world including in Australia and London’s Borough Market

International Youth Alliance for Peace – a group of young content creators spearheaded by a local journalist who wanted to make a difference in the lives of young people after seeing the atrocities of the civil war

Our current team of Social Impact Consultants have come from USA (Hawaii), Canada, UK &Netherlands with specialist experience in communications, branding, social media, copywriting, tax accountancy, product development & innovation, direct marketing, entrepreneurship, business management & sales.

We’re looking for a few more to #JoinUs in April.

_SocialStarters provide some training at the start, introducing you to social entrepreneurship globally and the context of political, social and economic history in Sri Lanka, as well as taking you through workshops in Consultancy & Start-Up Methods. We are looking for 2 more incredible individuals who are looking to volunteer, share their skills with our international group and talented clients, and make a real tangible impact.
