I joined the _SocialStarters team at the last minute and today I can say that it was a wise decision. To begin with the training week was an incredible experience, I learned a lot not only about social business, tools for consultancy and relationship building with clients, but also about myself.
After spending one entire week getting to know more about all the volunteer Consultants, as well as Jiselle and Andrea [from the _Social Starters team], the time to discover who would be my client and consultant partner arrived. That was when I started working with Cassie [fellow volunteer Consultant] at the Livreteria Popular Juraci Nascimento.
Right now we will start our third week working on this project and I can say that my heart is full of happiness. The willingness to contribute to such an amazing project is what encourages my work with Cassie. We hope that at the end of these six weeks, we have been able to contribute to the growth of Livreteria.
Although I’m still in the middle of the program and far from the end of this experience, I can already say that this opportunity helped to transform me into a more mature and happier person. I met incredible people who will leave a mark on my life, people who showed me that I can do what I love and people who taught me about being strong.
I am very grateful for this experience and at this time I already suffer from a mix of sadness thinking that there are only three weeks left of the program; and a lot of joy to see how much we have done so far.
